Bethlehem Centers of Nashville Community Outreach Program
The Bethlehem Centers is committed to the Nashville community and provides outreach programs such as our Seniors and Hot Lunch Program, Kids Café, and our annual Christmas Toy Store.
Second Harvest Food Bank: BCN serves as a satellite site for the Second Harvest Food Bank providing low income families and individuals living in the 37203 and 37208 zip codes with an emergency food box. The meals are handed out Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For more information, please contact Roy Reed at (615) 329-3386 extension 126 or Gerri Smith at extension 117.
Kids Café: Kids Café serves hot and nutritious meals to youth and children in the Nashville community. Meals are served every Tuesday evening from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information please contact Gerri Smith at (615) 329-3386 extension 117.
Christmas Toy Store: During the annual Christmas Toy Store, low-income families residing in the 37203 and 37208 service area are given an opportunity to provide toys and other gifts for their children. The Toy Store set up allows parents to maintain a sense of accomplishment and dignity by offering them a chance to come, pick out their gifts, and wrap them at home. The Toy Store helps bring joy and laughter to children who may not other wise have any toys for Christmas. Participants sign up two to three months prior to the store opening. The Toy Store is usually open during the second or third week in December. To donate, get exact dates or more information, please contact Valerie Marlowe at (615) 329-3386 extension 106.
