Youth
Bethlehem Centers’ Youth programs offer opportunities for students 10 – 18 years old to learn skills that improve them personally, academically and professionally. These programs provide on-the-job training through summer internships, coaching in drug and alcohol prevention, self-esteem building and health and physical fitness.
We work with teens, parents, teachers and community leaders to provide a safe place for teens to learn and mature.
Students in our Stars of Bethlehem Club afterschool program receive tutoring and lesson plans that reinforce reading, math and science skills and the importance of physical education. Parents are assured their children are safe, while they work to support their family.
Middle-schoolers in the Say Yes to Success program learn positive life choices with character building activities. Though students in this initiative maycome from some of the most adverse conditions, they can achieve and overcome them by making simple life decisions that reject alcohol and drug use.
Bethlehem Centers and its programs do not take the summer off; in-fact, that time of the year is our busiest. Teens in our summer enrichment camp experience an array of activities that enhance their world of learning. In addition to the summer enrichment camp, BCN offers a Vocational Success Institute where eligible teens gain work experience. This teen employment program includes a month-long workshop that teaches students basic job skills and then places them in a paid internship.
