What is Bethlehem Centers of Nashville?
Bethlehem Centers of Nashville is a non-profit social service agency offering programs for children, youth, adults, seniors and families in the Nashville community. Our client's ages range from 6 weeks to 84 years old (and counting!).
Aren't you just a daycare?
No. Bethlehem Centers of Nashville has three daycare facilities in North, South, and downtown Nashville. We also offer programs for teens (alcohol and drug prevention, job skills training), adults (Adult Basic Ed and workforce development training)and seniors (hot lunch program and seniors club for 55 and older), as well as outreach programs for families (Christmas Toy Store and Second Harvest Food Bank).
Are your services only for low-income people?
No. Anyone in the Middle Tennessee area can gain access to our programs and services, regardless of their income status.
Do you charge fees for services?
BCN only charges a fee for childcare services. The childcare program has a sliding fee scale available for parents who need assistance. We also accept DHS certificates. We provide top notch programs and services, and our childcare fees are comparable with other local "non-profit" and "for-profit" organizations.
How long have you been in operation?
Bethlehem Center was founded in 1894 as a rescue mission and kindergarten. It has now evolved into a multi-service agency providing quality programs and services. For more on the history of Bethlehem Centers, please visit the Mission & History link on our website.
